The use and maintenance of electric ovens and high-temperature furnaces in painting production lines

1. It is prohibited to put flammable and explosive substances, as well as substances that can cause corrosion or discoloration, into an oven for baking, and it is not allowed to burn explosive materials in a high-temperature furnace.

2. The dried items should be placed in appropriate containers and then moved onto the partition in the oven. Items of the same nature should be placed in the same oven and baked simultaneously.

3. Stone wool boards should be laid in high-temperature furnaces, kept clean and replaced at any time to prevent the furnace bottom from being corroded by molten substances.

4. The working temperature of the oven should not exceed 130 ℃. For muffle furnaces made of electric heating wires, the working temperature should not exceed 900 ℃. For high-temperature furnaces made of silicon carbon rods, the high working temperature is 250 ℃.

5. The heating of the high-temperature furnace should be gradually increased by gradually raising the voltage. The time from room temperature to 800 ℃ should not be less than 30 minutes, and the cooling should also be carried out slowly.

6. Oven or muffle furnace should be placed on a sturdy platform lined with asbestos board, and flammable and explosive materials should not be stored near it.

7. The shell of the oven or high-temperature furnace should be grounded, and the exposed part of the silicon carbide rod should be equipped with a safety protection cover to ensure the safety of the workers.

8. To extend the service life of the instrument and ensure safety, samples should be taken out of the furnace in a timely manner after the equipment is used, the heating should be stopped, and the power should be turned off.

9. Keep the furnace clean, and it is required to clean it once a day before leaving work. Be careful when laying out the samples to prevent damaging the silicon carbide rods.

10. The adjustment of instrument power should not be too large and should be within the rated power range, generally not exceeding 6kw or 4kw. The current should not exceed the rated current, generally not exceeding 20A. If the current exceeds the range, the power should be turned off immediately. If it is an automatic temperature controlled furnace, the F value should not be adjusted too much, generally not exceeding 60%

11. High temperature testing prohibits contact with water. If water is mixed into a high-temperature object, it will rapidly vaporize and cause a so-called water vapor explosion. When the high-temperature substance falls into the water, it will also produce a large amount of explosive water vapor and splash everywhere.

12. Use dry gloves. If gloves are damp, their thermal conductivity increases, and at the same time, the moisture in the gloves evaporates into water vapor, posing a risk of hand burns. Therefore, gloves need to be made of materials that are difficult to absorb water.

13. The furnaces of muffle furnaces and high-temperature furnaces should be lined with refractory plates or ceramic plates, and cleaned or replaced in a timely manner to prevent the bottom of the furnace from being immersed by molten substances.
