What are the characteristics and requirements of painting equipment?

Painting is a systematic engineering that includes three basic processes: surface treatment, coating process, and drying of the coated object before painting, as well as designing a reasonable coating system, selecting suitable coatings, determining good working environment conditions, and conducting important links such as quality, process management, and technical economy. 

Characteristics of painting equipment:

(1) Coating equipment cannot do without solvents. Many components require solvent resistance.

(2) Coatings are flammable and explosive materials, and many components of equipment should undergo flame retardant and explosion-proof treatment.

(3) Fine painting process and high equipment precision.

(4) Low equipment load and fewer heavy equipment.

(5) Painting equipment makes it easier to plan production lines and saves manpower.

(6) The running speed is relatively slow.

Requirements for painting equipment:

(1) All processes involving the use of toxic, irritant, and flammable substances should be placed in separate factories or arranged in specially isolated areas of the factory, equipped with personal protective equipment and firefighting equipment.

(2) The workshop passage should be equipped with automatic fire doors, fire and smoke barriers, water curtains and other facilities to prevent the spread of fire.

(3) When it is necessary to safely reach the work position above the equipment, an overpass with protective railings and stairs should be installed. Anti slip flooring should be installed on pedestrian bridges and passages.

(4) There should be no stacking equipment on pedestrian walkways, and objects and wires should cross horizontally. The width of the walkway should not be less than 1m

(5) When the assembly line is walking above the work area, protective nets need to be laid to prevent objects from falling.

(6) The dedicated paint warehouse should isolate and store excess paint and waste paint.
