The difference between a car spray booth and a paint booth
Baking paint: Apply three times of primer and four times of top coat on the base material, and send it to the dust-free and temperature-controlled baking room for baking after each coat of paint.
Spray paint: Grind the woolen cloth on the substrate, spray paint on it, and let it dry naturally.
How to distinguish spray paint and baking paint
Method 1: Touch the four edges and corners of the painted door with your hands to see if they are smooth and proof; observe whether the color of the edges and corners is the same as the color of the door.
Paint: Smooth edges and corners, the same color. It proves that the paint film is uniform and the color is full.
Painting: The edges and corners are rough and the color is lighter than the door panel. It proves that the paint film is uneven and the color is not full.
Method 2: Compare the light to see if there is orange peel on the surface of the painted door.
Paint: The surface of the door panel is smooth, without lines or orange peel.
Painting: The surface of the door panel has lines, is not smooth, and has orange peel.
Method 3: Touch the surface of the painted door panel by hand to see if there are dust particles and air bubbles.
Paint: The surface of the door panel is flat and smooth.
Spray paint: There are particles on the surface of the door panel, which is not smooth and has a strange touch to the touch.
Method 4: Hit with a hard object.
Baking paint: no abnormalities, no damage to the paint film.
Spray paint: There are cracks, severe paint film peeling, and white peeling.
Therefore, although the difference between spray paint and baking paint is only one word, the effect is very different. The surface of the car tested in the paint booth is smooth, resistant to impact, and will not peel off.
The difference between spray booth and baking booth
The paint spray booth is just spray paint and then air-dried naturally, while the paint booth will paint three times of primer and four times of top coat on the substrate, and each paint is sent to the dust-free oven at a constant temperature for baking. This is the biggest difference between the spray booth and the paint booth. The spray booth can only spray, not bake, and the paint booth can both spray and bake.
